About me

My name is Miranda Cavanaugh-Fernandez, and I am a junior interior designer with nearly two years of experience at J Design Co., where I have contributed to residential design projects from concept development through final presentation and coordination. During this time, I have developed a strong foundation in space planning, furniture and material sourcing, and creating interiors that balance aesthetics with functionality.

In addition to my work at J Design Co., I have also designed and managed my own residential and commercial projects independently through my studio, gaining experience in FF&E selection, procurement coordination, and vendor collaboration. These projects have allowed me to further develop my ability to translate design concepts into cohesive, thoughtfully executed spaces.

I am proficient in design tools including AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva, and have experience developing mood boards, presentations, and design documentation. I enjoy working closely with clients and project teams to bring thoughtful, well-composed interiors to life, with a strong focus on materiality, color, and spatial composition.
